New Ulster Hockey Umpires’ Course

Ulster Hockey have announced that the next National Umpire Award Course will take place at Newforge Country Club, Belfast on Tuesday 15th and Thursday 17th January.

At North Down we are keen to increase the number of active umpires in our Club and would encourage any of our members who are considering this option to attend.  This is what the UHU have stated …..

“Candidates will receive a work book, a ‘Fox 40’ whistle and a small laminated ‘areas of control’ coloured pocket card.

Umpiring is a great way to be involved in hockey. It gives you the opportunity to give something back to the sport you love, whilst also helping to widen participation in the sport. There are opportunities for everyone to umpire and whatever your aspirations, you will receive support from Ulster Hockey!”
